25 Years of Compassion and Service
Anniversary of the Damas Salesianas in St. Dominic Savio Parish
(ANS - Bellflower, Calif. – November 30, 2023) – St. Dominic Savio Parish in Bellflower was the host site on November 18 for celebrations for the 25 years of the Damas Salesianas Association in the United States Western Province. Damas Salesianas is one of the 32 groups that belong to the Salesian Family. Founded by Maria Marquez, the association has grown over time to 24 members with the unwavering support of Fr. Gael Sullivan, SDB. The main mission of the Damas Salesianas is to serve youths, children, and the needy. Their initiatives include granting scholarships, distributing meals on occasions such as Thanksgiving, and supporting families with the help of psychologists. They also provide compassionate service to those most in need through programs such as “Woman to Woman.”
