Salesian Missions Funds Scholarships for 32 Girls in India
(ANS - Muniguda, India – December 15, 2025) – Don Bosco Nava Nirman, based in Muniguda, India, has provided scholarships to 32 girls thanks to donor funding from Salesian Missions of New Rochelle. The funds from benefactors helped cover the costs of room and board, school fees, and the purchase of books. This is an important help, considering that girls’ education is an urgent need in this area. Many of them, as explained by a Salesian in Muniguda, are marginalized and cannot study. Thanks to this support, however, many young women are able to attend school and access scholarships. In addition to this project, there are numerous Salesian programs thruout India that offer education to young people. Salesian primary and secondary education in the country helps young people prepare for technical, professional, or university studies. Other programs also help support poor young people and their families, meeting their basic needs for housing, adequate food, and medical care.
